Year 1997 to 2001

Designed by Rudi Enos and his design team and engineered by Alan White, the MT66 is probably the most efficient portable structure ever built in terms of size versus portability.

The structure is configurable in many ways. It can be used as an in-line structure at 44m x 44m / 66m / 88m and 110m. It can be used as a 4-pole 66m x 66m structure. It can be used as a 6-pole 66m x 76m, an 8-pole 66m x 92m and a 10-pole 66m x 108m. Finally, the yellow and blue version can be used at 66m x 66m / 88m and 110m. It can be erected with just a few men and a telescopic forklift in less than 2 days.

Example uses of the structure include at Glastonbury as the dance stage, as the BBC Radio 1 stage at Reading Festival, in Cork for the Live At The Marquee summer concerts, and by both Holiday On Ice and Walt Disney On Ice touring shows.

Aiken Promotions present Live At The Marquee, a season of music concerts and other live performances, each year in Cork, Ireland, usually held in the 5,000 seat MT66 (the proverbial marquee). The first season was part of Cork's 2005 year as European Capital of Culture. The list of acts who have performed there is a who’s who of the entertainment business, including Al Green, Art Garfunkel, Billy Idol, Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson, Diana Ross, Dolly Parton, Duran Duran, Elbow, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Lana Del Ray, Lionel Richie, Lou Reed, Robert Plant, Roxy Music, Status Quo, Rod Stewart, Snoop Dogg, Sting, Tom Jones, Tony Bennett and Van Morrison.

Holiday On Ice is the undisputed global market leader in ice entertainment and the largest touring ice show in the world, showing its first performance in 1943 and accumulating 330m visitors since. Holiday On Ice has successfully toured across the world with the MT66 for many years.

A special version of the MT66 featuring a 55m clear span arch to allow the removal of the king pole and leave a clear area of 44m x 48m, was used for the Butlins Concerts in Minehead, Somerset, for Mobile Stadiums.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, operated by Feld Entertainments used the MT66 in Coney Island, New York. The structure was adapted to provide a visual aspect which hid the side guys and anchors. The structure was 42m (135ft) in diameter and accommodated 2,000 people.
